It's all over the news, but the details are still a bit fuzzy! I am taking about the Plastic Carrier Bag Tax in Wales due to come into force October 2011.
Having spoken to various people, we are still unsure of the details. We are waiting for our local MP, who is in touch with George Osbourne MP.
From what we can gather so far, it will be up to the retailer to collect the tax (5p) & distribute it to good causes (eh?). It will only apply to single use carrier bags, which we think will be classed as anything under 50 micron.
If this turns out to be completely untrue - sorry!
